How Provider Connections Work
CredComply connects to your providers through CredWallet, the provider-facing credential wallet. You send a connection invitation from CredComply, and the provider accepts it in CredWallet. From that point on, the two accounts stay linked: the provider keeps ownership of their credentials, and your team gets a live view of everything they choose to share.
Send a Connection Invitation
Follow the walkthrough below to send a connection invitation to one of your providers.
Confirm the Connection
Once the provider accepts, open their record from the "Providers" page. The provider header shows a Connected pill, confirming the CredWallet link is active. A "Disconnect" button sits beside the pill. Use it if you ever need to unlink the two accounts.
What the Connection Gives You
A connected provider does more than show a status pill. The link changes how records and tasks flow between your organization and the provider:
- Shared records. Records the provider shares from their CredWallet account appear in the "Overview" tab of their provider page with a Shared badge, alongside the records your team has added directly.
- Record requests. When you create a "Record request" task (from the provider's "Tasks" tab, the org-wide "Tasks" page, or the "Create or request a record" button on their "Overview" tab), a connected provider receives the request in CredWallet.
- Reminders. "Reminder" tasks reach connected providers in CredWallet the same way, so renewal nudges land where your providers already manage their credentials.
Everything the provider shares, and every request you send, stays tied to their provider record, so requesting documents and tracking them down happens in one place instead of over email and fax.
