Adding a New Group

What you'll accomplish

In this guide, you will learn how to add a new group to CredComply and how groups connect your providers and payers for enrollment tracking. By the end, you will know how to read the Groups list, create a group, and manage its details across the Overview, Locations, Contacts, Providers, and Payers tabs.

WhereGroupsAdd group

What a group is

A group is a billing entity within your organization, and it maps one to one with a Tax Identification Number (TIN): one group, one TIN. The physical sites that operate under that TIN are the group's Locations. Groups are the connective layer of CredComply: each group links your providers to the payers they enroll with, so you can track payer enrollment at the level where care is actually delivered.

If you have not yet added any payers, we recommend reviewing the help article titled 'Adding a New Payer' first. Having payers in place before you create groups makes linking them straightforward.

The Groups list

Select Groups in the left sidebar to open the Groups list. Each row shows:

  • Group name: the billing entity tied to the TIN
  • Providers count: how many providers belong to the group
  • Payers count: how many payers are associated with the group

Each row also has its own menu for quick actions on that group.

Adding a group

  1. Select Groups in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the "Add group" button.
  3. Enter the new group's information and save. The group appears in your Groups list immediately.
The Add group modal on the Groups page
The Add group modal opens over the Groups list.

Working with group details

Open a group from the list to see its detail page, organized into five tabs:

  • Overview, which contains three sections: Group information, Practice information, and Systems. Each section has an edit pencil for updates and a History audit trail showing what changed and when.
  • Locations: every physical site the group operates, each with its own NPI, Medicaid number, and Medicare number, plus a count of the providers practicing there. Payer applications regularly ask for location-level identifiers, so keeping them here means the numbers are on hand when you need them.
  • Contacts: the people associated with the group.
  • Providers: the providers who belong to the group.
  • Payers: the payers linked to the group for enrollment tracking.

Once a group has both providers and payers attached, you can keep that group's providers and payers organized in one place and from each provider's Payer enrollment tab.

Group Successfully Added!

The group you have added is now included in your Groups list. You can view and manage it at any time, ensuring that your provider and payer information stays properly connected within CredComply.
